Weaver v. Weaver, 28Neb. App. 716 (Supreme Court of Nebraska)

Weaver v. Weaver, 28 Neb. App. 716

A highly contested modification case brought the parties all the way to the Nebraska Supreme Court. A career air-force father who sought equal parenting time with his minor child was denied a modification of parenting time due to the terms of the parties’ original Decree of Dissolution of Marriage entered in the District of Columbus and the trial court’s finding that no significant material change in circumstances existed warranting a modification of the parties’ Decree. Attorney John Kinney, Partner at the Omaha, Nebraska law firm of Kinney Mason PC LLO, successfully argued four crucial points of error related to the trial court’s decision before the Nebraska Supreme Court, which ultimately remanded the case back to the district court.
